Girls, secure your seatbelts and get ready to take flight into the world of aviation and aerospace.
Who: Girls ages 13-22
What: Girls dive into all things aviation and prepare to take flight around the world. Students explore different career opportunities in Aviation and Aerospace; taking stops at various countries around the globe. Some topics include :Navigation & Charts, GPS, History of African American s in Aviation, Aviation Heavy Equipment, Aerodynamics, Airport Operations,Careers in Aviation
Where: On -Site at Timbuk2 Academy and hybrid locations.

Why: Currently, Black women pilots constitute less than 1/2 of 1% of the total professional pilot career. Timbuk2 Academy is here to shift the narrative by providing opportunities and rich experiences for girls to reach heights unimaginable through its GIRLS SOAR! program.

Cost: Fees range from $300 -$500 depending on the age and skill level of student.
Financial Aid/Scholarships may be available.
