A holistic learning environment is one that nurtures all aspects of students’ learning, including WELLNESS. The environment is safe, supportive, and provides opportunities to help students deal with nonacademic as well as academic factors that impact their learning. T2A incorporates holistic practices and techniques to support children in becoming their greatest self.
In addition to taking our classroom outdoors, we include the following in the learning process:
Mindfulness meditation – Meditation may improve sleep, memory, and attention span; it also helps regulate your emotions.
Yoga – studies show that this ancient mind-body practice can help reduce stress and anxiety, enhance mood, improve balance, flexibility and strength, and even ease chronic pain.
Guided imagery – Research shows that just 10 minutes of guided imagery can strengthen your immune system and foster weight loss, as well as fight depression and fatigue. It can also reduce anxiety
Aromatherapy– Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils (naturally extracted plant materials) to balance, harmonize, and promote the health and healing of your body and mind.
Nutrition – Eating a wide variety of nutritious foods helps mood, attention and learning. Eating regular meals also helps promote good mood and attention.
T2A Preschool and kindergarten programs are designed for children ages 3-6. Our students are exposed to a combination of ECE curriculum models, different environments and grounded cultural learning experiences. We allow them to explore their self-awareness and gain a sense of the world around them. Once they leave our center, they’re fully prepared for the next stage of their young lives.
