Sew So DOPE
A Creative Outlet for Girls Passionate about Fashion and Design
Who: Girls ages 3-22
What: T2A Sew So Dope is the perfect program for girls who love fashion, design, and sewing. By tapping into their "kuumba" – the Swahili word for creativity – they can turn recycled treasures into wearable masterpieces. Students receive hands-on sewing instruction while learning the ropes of turning sewing into a sustainable career. They also get to engage in woodworking, upholstery design, and furniture building using recycled materials. And after weeks of practice, students showcase their unique fashions in a runway fashion show!
Where: On -Site at Timbuk2 Academy

When: Typically, Sew So DOPE runs during the summer months, however, Timbuk2 Academy hosts workshops, and classes throughout the year.

Cost: Costs range from $300 -$500 depending on the age and skill level of student.
Financial Aid/Scholarships may be available.
